About the game

How Number Memory works,
in short.

  1. Step 01

A number appears, then drains away.

A number flashes on screen and the bar underneath it drains left to right — when the bar empties, the number hides. Read it, break it into small chunks to hold it, and if you have it already, tap "I'm ready" to hide it early.

  2. Step 02

    Type it back, exactly.

Once the number hides, type it back with your keyboard or the on-screen number pad, then press Enter (or the ✓ key). One wrong digit ends the run — the reveal lines your answer up against the real number and marks every slot: green for the digits you got right, red with a strike-through for the ones that slipped.

  3. Step 03

    Every level adds a digit.

Get it right and the next number is one digit longer — the run keeps stretching until you slip. Your score is the longest number you held in mind. Most people manage around seven digits, give or take two, so reaching ten is genuinely impressive.
