Tap a slot · Type its real letter · Each code letter hides exactly one
How Cryptogram works,
in short.
- Step 01BXSS
Every letter stands in for another.
A famous quote has been scrambled with one fixed substitution: the same cipher letter always hides the same real letter. The small letter under each slot is the coded letter; the empty slot above it is where your guess goes.
- Step 02WBXSS
Tap a slot, then type the real letter.
Select a slot (it highlights blue) and press a letter — or tap the on-screen keys. Every slot sharing that cipher letter fills with the same guess at once, so one good guess can crack several words.
- Step 03WBIXESES
Each real letter comes from one code letter.
Two slots can never decode to the same real letter — if a guess repeats one you used elsewhere, both turn red so you can fix it. When the whole quote reads true, you have solved it.
