How FreeCell works,
in short.
- Step 01AAJ♣♣3♥♥9♠♠6♦♦K♠♠2♥♥10♥♥A♣♣7♦♦4♠♠Q♥♥8♣♣
Every card starts face-up.
All 52 cards are dealt into eight open columns — nothing is hidden, so the whole game is planning. Your goal is to move every card onto the four foundations, building each suit up from Ace to King.
- Step 029♠♠8♥♥7♣♣↘red on blackblack on red6♦♦
Stack down, alternating colours.
Tap a card to pick up the stack from that card down, then tap where it should go — a column with cards takes exactly as many as fit its top card, and an empty column takes as many as you picked up. Cards land one rank lower on the other colour — red on black, black on red — and double-tapping a card sends it straight to its foundation.

One card per cell
Park cards in the free cells.
The four free cells each hold one card you set aside, and you can tap it back out at any time. Open cells and empty columns also set how many cards you can move in one go — keep them clear and whole runs travel together.
